Policy priorities in depth

After decades of Republican leadership, Florida's economy is in danger of collapsing under the weight of soaring property insurance rates.  Families no longer have disposable income for dining out, vacations or emergencies. 

As your senator, I will demand reforms that make property insurers reduce premiums and hold them accountable for paying claims.

Protect Public Eduction

Our public schools are being robbed of taxpayer dollars and Florida's teachers are among the lowest paid in the U.S. 

It is a sacred duty to educate the generations of Floridians so they are able to contribute to society. Currently, there are no income restrictions on those who want to use taxpayer money for voucher programs and there is rampant abuse in the system. As your senator, I will invest in public schools and fight to raise teacher pay.

Protect our Environment

Florida's beauty attracts millions of visitors per year and it is one of the cornerstones of our economy. However,  unchecked growth is endangering our beautiful state, causing flooding, poisoning our drinking water supply and killing our coral reefs. My plan is to enact a managed growth agenda to benefit all Floridians while protecting our fragile ecosystem.
